Design and construction for work on water

Eurodredging designs and builds dredging equipment, hydraulic propulsion systems and modular floating structures. We work primarily with shipowners, navigation companies, port operators, research institutions and aggregate extraction and processing companies that require bespoke technical solutions for operations in marine, river and lake environments.
Every project begins with an analysis of the client’s operational conditions and develops in collaboration with their technical team. This approach produces equipment calibrated to actual use, with fewer compromises and a shorter learning curve for operators.

An activity built on forty years of technical expertise

Our competence in the dredging sector has developed over time through the design and construction of equipment for clients operating in some of the most demanding contexts — inland waterway excavation, port operations, maintenance of river and lake beds. Having followed closely the operational needs of those who work in the field, the equipment we design incorporates solutions that emerged from real problems.
Our engineers are available to deliver theoretical and practical training courses for the client’s operators. The feedback we receive feeds a continuous improvement cycle that has refined both products and team expertise over time, building up a body of practical knowledge that is difficult to replicate through workshop activity alone.

Component quality and certifications

The same logic governs component selection: suppliers with products proven in demanding applications. All designs comply with the standards of the Italian Naval Register (RINA), with components sourced from leading international manufacturers.

Designing for the most demanding environments

The equipment we design is built for the most challenging contexts — inland waters, protected marine areas, environments where operational constraints are tight, downtime is costly and ecosystem impact must be kept in check. This is a design standard we apply regardless of regulatory requirements.
Electric propulsion systems reduce direct emissions in sensitive areas. Reconfigurable modular floating structures cut transport and management costs, adapt to different operational contexts without requiring new builds, and reduce material consumption over time. These are choices that follow a precise design rationale — and that produce, as a natural consequence, a reduced impact on the environments in which we operate.

Technical support across the full service life

Eurodredging supports the equipment it produces from initial design through commissioning, from routine maintenance to emergency assistance, throughout its entire operational life. For clients working in contexts where downtime carries significant costs, having a technical point of contact who has known the project from the outset is a concrete assurance.
Hydraulic propulsion and manoeuvring units can be replaced without the need for dry-docking and swiftly dismantled for dispatch to the workshop at the time of five-yearly overhauls — resulting in a significant reduction in long-term management costs.
